Our Studio

We are a young and creative design-led architecture practice based in London. Our studio thrives on applying imaginative design solutions to transform everyday architecture, with a keen eye on simple and considered details that elevate the spaces we inhabit.

Our professional experience covers a range of design sectors, from commercial office fit-outs and multi-unit residential schemes to individual homes, bespoke conversions, and extensions.

We take our clients on a visual journey, beyond the typical 2D plans, developing all mibe projects from the outset in 3D which allows our clients to get a better understanding of the spatial qualities which are unique to each project.

We provide a full creative and technical design service, from initial site appraisals, concept design and planning applications through to Building Regulation drawings and tender packages; all in accordance with the RIBA plan of works.

The Team

Prior to co-founding Mibe Architects in 2019, Alex and Liam first met whilst undertaking their Bachelor's degrees in Architecture at the University of Brighton in 2011. Following such, they both completed their Masters at the University of Greenwich before going on to become ARB registered and RIBA Chartered Architects in 2020.

During their combined 20 years of practice experience, Alex and Liam have both worked for some of the UK's largest architecture and engineering firms.

Alex spent 4 years at Arup Architecture where he developed a stream of innovative R&D projects which led to him becoming the practice's E-Sports lead. Alex also helped coordinate the delivery of sports and venue projects such as the Alexander Stadium which recently hosted the 2022 Commonwealth Games. His experience also includes high-end commercial and office space projects for clients such as British Land and AstraZeneca.

Liam co-founded Mibe Architects following 3 and a half years at Hawkins\Brown Architects, where he worked on the delivery of one of London's new and iconic Crossrail Stations, Tottenham Court Road. In addition, he was involved in the coordination and design for several multi-use residential development schemes across London such as, Hackney Wick and the London Legacy Development Coorporation's last undeveloped sites of which is to be realised by one of London's largest housing associations, Notting Hill Genesis.
